The historic Freedom Quilting Bee was a founding member of the Federation of Southern Cooperatives. It owned its building and equipment and hired women from the area. Outside consultants helped the Bee commercialize its products. RDLN Leader Alice Paris helped the Bee develop sales of conference bags.
